If you find Farcaster fun, what's preventing you from inviting 1-2 friends and helping them get started here?

Neat. Are they running into issues?

Not sure if you thought I responded to your other post, but I haven't invited them to Farcaster per the previous post. They are running into issues due to the current administration if that is your question.

So the claim is because I happened to work at Coinbase 5 years ago what Coinbase does today is Farcaster's branding?

I'm just butting in here but my sense from talking to people I know offline is they associate crypto with the right, and especially with tech fascism like Palantir and Thiel (and AI drones assassinating Palestinians) and basically view it as part of the dystopian Terminator-world future they don't want. I of course have counterpoints but then, every single crypto exchange or on ramp is run by Trump supporters or other billionaire connected people. So while blockchains can be for decentralization and cypherpunk values which the left has some alignment with, in reality *in the USA* in 2025 crypto is largely a capitalist thing aligned with the genocidal imperial military. So they aren't interested in Farcaster because it's connected to that world. But these are just acquaintances or coworkers, I don't have time to talk more about it or try to convince them it's a lot more nuanced than that.

The best rebuttal I've had is pointing to the lively (or once lively) /cryptoleft community here. At the very least, it starts a conversation.
