The Intro in the actual video will never not be funny, Cam took me out researching if his head was too big 🤣🤣🤣
Moving on, i think the hardest part of the Buffett method isn’t picking your top 5 but grieving the 20, yes I called it grief
Those 20 are still part of you, passions, curiosities, maybe even people. They’re not all distractions
Some of them are honest pleasures that make life sweeter & bearable. Saying no to them isn’t easy, and I don’t think it should be
Personally, I’ve kinda done the exercise, but in fragments
I try not to treat everything like an ultimatum, cause the truth is, prioritizing your life shouldn’t mean cutting off your aliveness, not completely starving yourself off the things that bring you simple joy 2 replies

Yup…
Volunteerism is great, until it’s not. Like, yeah, helping others is beautiful in theory,,, Community-based generosity, giving time over money, care over clout, all of that is real. But the moment the entire systems start depending on volunteerism to function, we’ve crossed into something darker. That’s no longer help, it’s unpaid labor masking as goodwill
It’s exactly like what @cameron said, “weaponized incompetence”
🙄 “Oh, you’re just better at emotional labor”…
“You’re just more organized”…“You’re so passionate about helping people, go ahead!”
Nah, that’s just someone outsourcing responsibility and calling it praise
Think of nonprofits organizations that couldn’t operate without a stream of unpaid interns
Or schools relying on “moms who care” to run entire events
Or disaster relief depending on ordinary people to organize food, clothes, shelter … 😳 1 reply

From a gym girl @christin , lemme just say, girl, I feel you 😅😅
I’ve been through that loop where you’re constantly hunting for the most “volume-efficient, low calorie “ foods, so I don’t judge, ever
But also, I don’t track calories, not consciously, at least.
I just got to a place where I wanted food to feel nourishing, not homework like
Now I eat, move, lift and when something feels off, I adjust
3 months post video, how are you doing? 1 reply
