some thoughts for many types of content, it makes sense to auto have a coin or mass abundance, 100 pennies still = $1 however, bucketing artists in “coining everything” feels off - i am no expert, but art has been around for millennia and it’s often valued based on scarcity, emotion, feel i don’t believe abundance and scarcity are mutually exclusive in this new world, both should exist onchain for various purposes global liquidity benefits 1/1s, open editions, and coins ALL of these are ownership breakthroughs, not just coins 1/1 ~= art in an exhibition/museum open edition ~= postcards/stamps (ht @wanderloots.eth) coin ~= fractionalized representation of content my whole point is to say there isn’t one “right” way - and i don’t think we as a collective whole should push for a certain way over another, the goal is choice/freedom a tiktok video? prob great as a coin! art/photography? i personally lean towards editions or 1/1 the key is choice where the main onchain distribution lives

Farcaster could end up becoming the solution to Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). To send something encrypted to someone you have to somehow agree on how they will decrypt it. Otherwise it’s pointless. Either you both have a common secret or you use something you know only they can decrypt. For the common secret how do you exchange it? Well you use a secure channel. But how do you establish that ? Enter using something only they can decrypt. No need to first establish a secure channel for secret exchange. But how to learn what only they can decrypt? In todays systems these are called public keys. That public key is a seal for your envelope with the message. The seal you know only they can open. But how to get the seal? Usually that’s either by a centralized registry (SSL certificates aka the whole internet, companies infrastructure) or by you recieving that key somehow. But how do you know it hasn’t been tampered with? Well well … 1/2

However, if the % of active users *with funded wallets* is really high, we have a near term opportunity to be a “small-population-but-high-GDP country”. Developers can permissionlessly launch a frame, have it appear on Farcaster clients that have integrated wallets. “Get to your first 10,000 transactions by launching on Farcaster”. Yes, you can launch on other networks, but their algos hate links and the drop off from seeing something in a feed to website to wallet is going to be high.
