property rights, enforceable contracts, and free market economies oriented society toward nonviolent means of resource allocation the central assumption of these technologies is that scarcity is fundamental if ai successfully invalidates that assumption, how will society be reorganized?

are market economies useful organizing mechanisms when time and attention are the only scarce resources?

there are still other finite resources like premium land, potentially some foods maybe humans will create scarcity artificially in order to create status / maintain organization for example, look at any video game today. Technically everyone could have the golden gun that shoots rainbows. But in practice, they artificially increase the rarity and charge a price to unlock.

hmmm yeah. sneaker and gym culture are two more examples of artificially created scarcity and hardship. maybe we'll continue relying on markets for coordination not because we *need* to but because we *want* to. the desire for exchange is deeply embedded in us
