FL gives the green light to stem cell treatments https://archive.is/mrRu8 This is super interesting because even the most all in biohackers have been trepidatious in this area https://x.com/hubermanlab/status/1870237121543581893?s=46 Ie

So they watched “dr death” season 2 and said “let’s do the next sequel in Florida.”

I mean there is demand for these services I wouldn’t necessarily put it *all* on the doctor, it’s crazy From very HNW people too

But… the doctor is a member of a profession with ethical obligations. Demand doesn’t change that. The ethical mad-scientist-doctor would experiment on him/her self, as is longstanding tradition.

Demand does change that, unfortunately………..struggling to find the way to explain but it does

Would it be ok for an engineer to put people in an unsafe rocket because of demand to go to the moon? There’s consent which ties into demand. I see that. But in the end it comes down to professional ethics. If unsafe stuff is allowed, people could lose faith in the entire industry (which seems to have already happened for both medicine and aerospace so maybe it’s moot by now)… Ok I made myself sad.

I'm fine with it as long as the engineer is also onboard

In many places, these are not prescribed by doctors but rather underqualified PAs and NPs (that as a result of Covid are now able to practice independently in many states) who are capitalizing on this movement. Most doctors I have spoken with have reservations as we have seen the other side of iatrogenic injury. There are a very small % of Drs who are using this to their advantage and prescribing without abandon, that has always been the case and will be. Its usually the same ones people gravitate towards and quote from twitter and reddit which is what has changed now. As those credentials tend to be valued much more than the ones (MD or DO) that establish professional ethics.
