I have a friend from way back that I've known for 25+ years now and he's high up in the U.S. Air Force. We don't see eye to eye on domestic politics and often not on international politics either, but I've always trusted him more than anyone else when it comes to matters related to information regarding military operations.

That said, he is echoing what Marco Rubio has said tonight in so far as Israel acting unilaterally in its attack on Iran. He says Israel has one of the best militaries in the world and has been planning tonight's attack for years.

I was curious about the F-35 and it's use tonight. He says he guarantees Israel used it tonight. He agrees Iran has  significant drone and missile capabilities but says that is mostly in terms of numbers and not in terms of accuracy.

The problem with drones IS the numbers. Older air defense systems that spray a firehose of lead are good against them, but rocket systems and other modern stuff gets overwhelmed or depleted.
