I've just known Piazzolla Cafe 1930, arranged for flute and guitar, but I thoroughly enjoyed this one. Maybe a lil clarinet-pilled now. https://youtu.be/ss8XZWtipEI?si=i91qmq1LbiFMsXP1&t=2570

You wanna see some bad ass clarinet playing?! Arun Ghosh! I saw him live last year on tour with Anoushka Shankar. WITHOUT A DOUBT THE COOLEST CLARINETEST EVER! It made me want to play clarinet! Truthfully, the clarinet isn't generally cool 🤷♀️ https://youtu.be/4d8Qey7xdkg

oooh wow. gonna check this out. Clarinet definitely not considered cool. But are any of the woodwind instruments in general perception? 😅 If I were to tell someone "hey, I play the bassoon" I don't think the reaction would be "wow, so cool"... More like, what even is that 🤣

Double reeds are best woodwinds out there; some of the oldest also. I think Saxophone is considered cool. It walks the line of brass and woodwind cause of the material. But it's so new, not a ton of classical full symphony rep for it. I am not a concert band maxi 🙅♀️
