thatās not the part people hate
the parts people hate:
-1984 levels of doublespeak
-the number shown on the orb app is almost never the number you actually get out (if you show someone they have a dollar and they get .95 cents not counting fees, thatās fraud), txns are batched seemingly for obfuscation purposes, basescan txn pages are almost impossible to read
-only the top 1% win(base employee or closely affiliated, minus a few)
-saying your the next big thing with literally nothing to back it up, trading revenue models would do better on Solana or BSC, base has a volume problem and you arenāt backing the people w the most volume on ur protocol
-you canāt continue to hurt folks and expect them to just eat it; look at todays lmts launch
-you just take other peopleās ideas and pretend they donāt exist, ābuild on baseā but itās actually top down PvP
Iām not exactly sure where along the lines clanker fell out of favor or why but base has been really good to us, and largely supportive, and it saved ethereum imo
I donāt think itās over and airing of the grievances is necessary, but after the last few months I almost want to build explicitly for the l1 so I feel like less of an asshole 15 replies

@dish responded to this post, said no beef whatsoever, it's quite clear now that there are problems. I don't think clanker team is to blame for base's posture towards Clanker.... As I've been saying, unfortunately, base is not neutral... However, clanker team should also shoulder the blame, ignoring the community, and being downright rude to people raising issues. The rude part has been fixed, community engagement, marketing still issues that need to be fixed.
U guys have a large treasury, $virtual and $brett made it without base support. As things stand, you are sponsoring GM farcaster which on YouTube it's viewed by less than 100 people. What are you hoping to achieve with this? Why not invest in business development and marketing to grow the project? U already have CEX listings...
