How do people approach calendar visibility within their organization? Mine is completely public (title, location, etc.); this makes some people uncomfortable. A side effect is people seem more willing to “just grab 15 minutes” of my time because they see a window. I’m now tempted to show nothing, as an experim

I think orgs have an opportunity to establish some norms here. But what I’m more interested in at the moment is what you were looking for. If you had a magic wand and could create the ideal scenario, with calendar visibility, what would it be?

Good question - I think it might be a more team-based calendar so I can see what others are working on and they can see what I’m working on. This would of course need a ‘personal’ side to it too. My main pain points are 1) safeguarding time for deep work and 2) updating my team on a daily basis of my major even

Excellent. So you just identified what matters most (team-based cal) and what it looks like (deep-work time and timely comms). If I’m coaching you 1x1, I’d now ask what makes this difficult, then what makes it possible. If I’m working with your team, I’d recommend you bring this back to the team to solve.
