do any of you NYC experts have unpatched recommendations for finding an apartment?

my summer lease is up August 10 and looking for long term place (ideally studio or 1 bd)

have tried Facebook and some other platforms but no luck so far :/

Yeah other than that I would just saw watch StreetEasy like a hawk and join as many active FB groups as you can. Can try leasebreak.com too and maybe Craigslist but can be a bit sketchier.

Just got referred to a broker so probably going to have a chat and see what they could find. Exactly my plan, I have a certain vision for what I’m looking for so hopefully they can scout out a spot hahaha

Try working with a broker. I know that the fees can be expensive but they often have access to inventory early or not found anywhere else, especially now with the new broker fee laws. You can still hunt for no-fee spots on your own and usually only have to pay them if you move into a place they find.
