IMO farcaster should do a full reset of the engagement "power" for all accounts. The fact that one like from an OG account is worth much more than dozens of likes from "regular" users is just wrong. True trends can't exist this way (especially with how some of those OGs barely engage/reply to others)

lots of people in Europe and Asia are casting, but most trending casts are from US based accounts and already few hours old

Honestly this is really bad instead of that they should set parameters or benchmark for everyone to meet instead of giving priority to some folks who barely or little make that contribution to content. Check almost 70% of cast are from the 70% users that's just an assumption it might be less or more. Regardless we keep using the farcaster for the love of the platform and connection. However let a workable metric be determined but I understand we are just growing and building and the team are doing an amazing job but more can still be improved on as we keep supporting the team and the product.

As the few Asians from OG time, being first means being in US time zone and consume US centric content. It has always been a compromise for me because I always liked to try new things. It's also to the point I post for US time zone instead as that's where most engagement comes from. However what you said is also true as the platform aims for a true global reach and it must start to highlight content from both European and Asian regions, albeit a smaller subset than US. The algo must cater for all 3 regions of the world to be truly global. (maybe 3.5 with AU/NZ)

Valid point, i think this has to do with algo checking amount of users online and more people are online from outside EU

They might recapture some the initial energy that brought so many people on board. Instead it seems like they are just digging in their heels to keep what they have. While they are at it they should get rid of the leaderboard or adopt healthier mesaures. https://keepthescore.com/blog/posts/leaderboards-in-gaming/
