agreed, but all else being equal, the people who make and post those videos will gravitate toward venues where they can make money ...the thing is that all else isn't equal

Why should quantity matter? Do artists, musicians, authors, journalists, actors etc with one popular work deserve to earn a living less than ones who break through more successfully? How should this be any different?

Disagree - that’s like saying singers who have a one hit wonder shouldn’t be compensated. Imagine ‘Come on Eileen’ or ‘Macarena’ creators not getting compensated.
