“Imagine if there were a few people that China said were terrorists and they came and bombed a house in America to kill them. In the process, they also killed a few Americans. Would you be ok with that? Because that’s exactly what we’re doing in a bunch of countries in the Middle East.”

Western Germany post WWII a bit of an exception as the “regime change” that followed on the Nazis brought liberation, wealth and steady growth. Also everyone else kept hating us for starting two wars and invading and terrorizing their countries.
Otherwise fully agree, violence just seeds more hatred and violence in the future.
