You’d have to play it. It’s from a time before video games held your hand. From before they were made so easy that anyone could pick it up and win. Before 1000 online strategy guides. It’s punishing as hell but that makes it really rewarding when you win. Lots of real life lessons found in dark souls. Mainly to never give up.

That's a cool take. When I first played Dark Souls, it was to me a much needed respite *after* a decade-long+ of easy handholdy games. It's a testament to the strength of this title we can both enjoy it greatly despite these different outlooks.
