Ever feel like you’re not good enough, even when you’re seeing results? That’s imposter syndrome, and we all go through it at some point. I’ve felt it, especially lately as I’ve been building something of my own. How do you handle it when it shows up? Personally, I try to remind myself of what I’ve already accomplished and how much more I want to do. Let’s use the topic of the day to talk about ways you can push past self doubt and deal with imposter syndrome.

Here’s how I think about imposter syndrome: It’s your boss’ job, not yours, to assess your skills vs what you do @ the place you do it. Bosses are super qualified at this (unless they’re ALSO imposters!!). You’re truly an imposter? they’ll just fire you. Oh, still employed? Then you’re probably not one

This is helpful for people who are employed. I find myself fixing imposter syndrome more with regards to being a “content creator” or a community builder because I’ve never done anything like it before.

Oh, I have a different technique for in those cases: Write a letter addressed to your 12 y.o. self explaining how you’re a big phony who unfairly’s hustled way into your current situation Here’s the test: Imagine if 12 y.o. self would agree (which, ouch…), or if they’d tell you your full of shit
