Ooof this one’s gonna sting. I was not familiar with Stake so I looked it up. The name is pretty misleading in a post-beacon-chain world: it’s not a staking protocol, it’s a crypto casino and gambling site, apparently sponsored by Drake. Somehow that makes me feel a little bit less bad about the hack.

Stake as in .com is heavily treaded by drainers & phish to either gamble because gambling addiction, or used to launder crypto after thefts. You can see the same on chain for many of the gambling sites that take crypto, definitely a peculiarity.
