Time to start grooming the basil plant—homemade pesto season is here. Basil, garlic, pine nuts, Parm (or romano for kick), olive oil. Five minutes. Feels like you meal-prepped for Italy. Always a little messier than I remember, but always worth it. Mortar and pestle if I’ve got the energy. Who else skips the jar?

Skipping the jar is always worth it with pesto. I love adding lemon juice too... you're better than me even considering doing it with a mortar. I use my food processor šŸ˜‚
