for sure, I'd be 100x more terrified if watched the news 😅
There was always some bad news & conflict reporting like Israel-Gaza, wars in Iraq, Vietnam, etc. - but whatever I saw felt far away. And they left out the amazing progress that was made and lifted many people out of poverty into abundant lives.
My point is the following:
From early 2000s till 2020ish there was definitely growing globalisation and interconnectivity among the biggest economies like Russia, China, Europe and the US. And after the iraq war and 08/09 financial crisis there was 10-15 years of up only, risk on, incl. absurd activism & lifestyles all over the world.
But this unique phenomenon of 0 interest rates, growing economies, collabs is very much ending now. And I have serious doubts about the smartness of picking trade fights with close allies (US vs EU, Canada etc.) when (super)powers are extended/struggling (EU, (US not yet maybe)), actively pushing towards other markets (Russia > Ukraine; China/US doing it financially..) 0 reply
