To me, Wes Anderson is hit or miss. ‘The Phoenician Scheme’ qualifies as the former. Benicio Del Toro is magnetic + enigmatic, and Mia Threapleton holds her own in their repartee. Yes, she’s Kate Winslet’s daughter, and you can’t unsee it once you know. Sit center cinema to savor the signature symmetry.

Definitely. I was extremely fortunate to snag tickets to an early screening with director and cast Q&A after, but I think it’s already in wide release.
