Should FarCon become a DAO? Security Council style board to decide where FarCon will be. Proposals to host FarCon should be transparent, with a public commenting period, ultimately letting a small trusted core to make the decision. Maybe also having smaller FarCons in smaller cities throughout the year?

i like the idea ya, should Purple DAO be that DAO? @luciano just run a ponder for farcon rome vs tokyo, community voted rome (53%), but i still need to wrap my head around it and understand the overall community sentiment

I definitely don’t think purple should be that dao FarCon needs to be coordinated by those who can execute imo I don’t see how a dao is helpful here, the ultimate problem is funding not governance If Merkle put up a FarCon budget for past FarCon attendees/high quality users to allocate then @tayyab’s idea would work perfectly

eh, imo. the ultimate problem, as always, is execution :) there are plenty of well-funded initiatives or events that fall flat on the execution front. we're lucky FarCon has been knocked out of the park each year so execution hasn't been a problem, but we shouldn't take that for granted.
