a 60 year old man, about to be your father in law asks you “ why do you believe in Bitcoin ? what does it even do ?” 

what’s your answer? how do you make it sound insightful and help him get a better idea about it?

My father in law already understands Bitcoin. He has lived nearly his whole life under a brutal military dictatorship. The benefits of self-sovereign money are obvious.

You can make your job easier by re-framing the conversation to “Why and how do different people use Bitcoin in different way?” It takes the pressure off. You are not defending your use nor are you trying to convince him to use it.

You’re a lucky man. I’m trying to prep for a question that I might probably be asked in the next few months.
