I self-censor a lot on this platform. i type stuff out and delete it. I debated whether or not to share this screenshot below because people don’t really get South Park anymore. I’ve deleted casts because people DMd me it was a step too far. It feels like a “me” problem but I wonder if anyone else feels this way? Ultimately social media is social media and this is a public space. But I wonder if the cozy corner thing is still part of the plan.

i self censor all the time not sure cozy corners would have changed that but they ended along with channels. we in the get paid era now

It’s not a “you” problem, it’s a “people not paying attention and reacting automatically” problem. I guess you just have to accept that some will get you, but many will not. Trying to cater to everyone is more likely to just paralyze you rather than achieve anything meaningful.

lol! This is what I wrote about ‘self-censoring’ a little while ago on Nostr. Maybe it also has to do with what Vitalik wrote about the need for privacy on his recent blog post.
