Not something I would do tbh. There has to be a better way to do this without giving out a phone number. Lol.

nobody likes giving it to uber, banks, exchanges, delivery apps...I guess it depends on why we NEED to do it for the Degen App. 

Bots will bot. Spammers spam.

Id be curious to understand more about the reason its 100% necessary.

Totally fair to be cautious — but think about it: you already give your number to Uber, banks, exchanges, delivery apps… even for something as basic as 2FA. This is no different — it's not for spam or tracking, just basic verification. And honestly, if you've been onchain for years, you know the real privacy risks come when you go offchain — KYC, tax reporting. Compared to that, a phone number is minimal.
