this is irresponsible design, & a perfect example of how poor design decisions can cause real harm. if a crowdfund doesnt reach its goal, the “donate anyway” button is hidden behind a big button that says “claim refund”. how much money is sitting in escrow because donors didn’t click “claim refund”?

they’re planning to change this in the next version. (I think it needs smart contract changes)

very poor communication if it is just sitting in escrow. seems like a very obvious thing to not do.

I’ve never claimed refund thinking the person will get it anyway, never knew it’s stuck in an escrow

If an individual helps crowdfund a specific cause and the target threshold isn't reached, it's provable that more people would rather receive this feature than to just blindly send the money for something that didn't reach quorum. Unless the app doesn't notify you at all, it's sound in design.

Yeah I have been vocal about this, there's no need of that system, if you do a small amount of research about web3 ethos and then to see Wich projects had applied it in a good way you can create projects at the top of human innovation, following the example of @giveth there's no need of a third party capturing funds for any reason, there's other functional paths @geoffgolberg it is a design issue that put crowdfunders to educate on the topic without getting paid by @nicholas for said iteration work that takes time specially if you got donors in other languages or you are from a non English speaking country as it happened to @sielo
