if i owned a restaurant, i would totally let my staff talk back to rude and disrespectful customers "the customer is always right" only applied originally to a customer’s taste preferences, it wasn’t a blanket statement on how they’re right about everything it definitely doesn’t mean you have the right to be an asshole

I worked at a restaurant where the manager would talk back to or even ban customers who were rude to the servers. Loved working there
