for years, I would go on walks and not move out of the way for anyone as mental practice.* I have experienced countless white classmates, educators, and professionals attempt to gaslight and bully me out of Design. The goal of /lambchop is to encourage a bulletproof sense of self + discernment. people in this world will try to tear you down, especially if you’re a talented POC. especially if you stand for something. you have to be unshakable, and refuse to accept others limiting beliefs as your truth. and the minute you start seeing people(of any race) try to humble you, take that as a sign they’re jealous, and you’re doing great. always KEEP GOING. then TAKE OVER TO PROVE A POINT. PROVE YOUR POINT. fyi, *I would move out the way for elderly, people with disabilities, and people with strollers.

This hit me harder than I expected 🥹 I’ve struggled (and still do) with low self-esteem, it’s made me more introverted and afraid to take up space. I’ve always stayed on the sidelines, quiet, because I thought I had nothing “worthy” to bring.

Whew, this hit hard. The world does try to humble confident POC who dare to take up space especially in creative industries. I love how you’ve channeled all of that into building /lambchop with purpose and power. You’re setting a blueprint for resilience and self-belief. Keep going, we need more of this.

Omg I was like this, I struggled with low self-esteem, and that's why I started making dresses to look more pretty and beautiful in my element. I'm glad i didn't allow anyone to tear me down, and I'm definitely going to be posting more of my fashion work on /lambchop
