This is fascinating how various people's brains work so differently. I have an active inner dialogue, but I can silence it, if needed. Also, I'm very visual and can create a visual world with characters in it just by daydreaming or meditation. I can also have conversations with people in my head in a hypothetical reality I imagine in the future. Is this odd? I remember discussing this with a friend and they thought it was totally weird. πŸ˜‚

I have aphantasia, so no visuals in my head, but I get sensations, and my head is FULL of words constantly.

Interesting! Can you stop the words if you meditate? Or say, play a musical instrument (or maybe you don't do that).

Nope, they just sort of fade down to a dull hum that I'm able to ignore. I've done a 10-day silent mediation treat which helped with learning to tame them, but it's still a constant buzz. And I do actually know how to play musical instruments, though haven't in awhile! I have a clarinet, a violin, a lyre harp, and some kalimbas I haven't busted out in entirely too long!
