Anyone else record a 22 minute video after lying in bed for days thinking about how we’re messing up our planet? Just me? I’m choosing *not* to post this on Farcaster because it’s too depressing. You can comment if you want the link, but it’s on the dangers of ocean acidification that aren’t discussed.Beware

Here’s a thought: we’re not messing up our planet We’re an organism like any other we change the environment to suit our needs… don’t different than an animal hunting off an entire species (which they do) and forcing that species to evolve or cease to exist the only question is will we find technologies to stop us from killing ourselves and create a world we want to live in

Ik messing up the planet is an oversimplification. It’s one that people understand rather than the explanation you give. The more i research, the more i realize tech won’t save us. Habitat restoration is more important. Just sad we haven’t emphasized it more. The planet has survived mass extinctions b4, us?😂

Exactly and the new state is just as natural as the old state I think we assume to much about the natural state So habit doesn’t get restored Ok Why is this bad if our lives can be better - Would you rather be unhappy in a forest or happy on mars? Why don’t your think tech can save us?

The disconnect to me is whether it’s actually possible for us to live completely divorced from the natural world, and whether it’s possible for us to be happy completely divorced from the natural world. I would say no on both counts. We’re utterly reliant on it for our physical and mental well being.
