I agree, but partially. Yes, this is our mistake, we fucked up.

But you become a bad actor when you take advantage of a vulnerability. In some countries, such activity can be considered a crime.

But anyway, we cannot blame them for it.

if you do the “hack” with the ux they provided, and not using back office tools, is a regular smart user imo. 
Also, the fees from selling were wrong favoring the team, no mention of that.

Anyone intentionally exploiting a vulnerability (erm...."programming mistake") to drain funds is not a "regular user".

On the other hand, if a user finds a "hack" and uses it, normal thing is to punish those individual users, not removing all funds from community.

There is always more responsibility in the creator, than in the user.

And there is a double responsibility in how the creator adress the issues, if affects whole community.
