been doing some thinking about what things social media COULD be good for (after my diatribe about how it isn't good for anything), and thought sports maybe. collective experiences are a powerful human phenomenon.

but nobody on here is into /the-w, so... guess my point stands.

no kings. only working on impossible things.

I thought a lot about football teams before launching Beings Club. I specifically remember being in the Porto FC museum thinking about Beings Club.

It's devotional! Giving yourself to an experience is kinda nice, sharing the experience of giving yourself to an experience amplifies. 

TV has that aspect, but feels maybe more like it imposes as a result of it's non-interactive nature. You can't let the characters know how you feel. 

I think streaming has blown up because people feel more involved.

yesssss, the resonant energy of being in a room with a hundred or a thousand people, all in sync with you is... unmatched. peak, even.

concerts. comedy shows. live sports. parades. so many things.

on tv isn't really the same, but i still think there's an subconscious comfort to it, knowing that other people felt the same or similar to you for a moment.
