been doing some thinking about what things social media COULD be good for (after my diatribe about how it isn't good for anything), and thought sports maybe. collective experiences are a powerful human phenomenon. but nobody on here is into /the-w, so... guess my point stands.

I thought a lot about football teams before launching Beings Club. I specifically remember being in the Porto FC museum thinking about Beings Club.

yesssss, the resonant energy of being in a room with a hundred or a thousand people, all in sync with you is... unmatched. peak, even. concerts. comedy shows. live sports. parades. so many things. on tv isn't really the same, but i still think there's an subconscious comfort to it, knowing that other people felt the same or similar to you for a moment.

It's devotional! Giving yourself to an experience is kinda nice, sharing the experience of giving yourself to an experience amplifies. TV has that aspect, but feels maybe more like it imposes as a result of it's non-interactive nature. You can't let the characters know how you feel. I think streaming has blown up because people feel more involved.
