stablecoins have the mental overhead of being "crypto"

what additional benefit does it give to the consumer? they have stable assets they pay with digitally via their bank account/venmo/etc

at scale I don't think people will enjoy paying or being paid with volatile assets. 1 usdc = 1 usd, 1 eth, even broken into it's smallest denominations, will never have a stable price. leads to having to weigh the value of the thing over the value of your eth.

stablecoins have no such mental overhead.

Oh yeah Im seeing now, I was meant on how the crypto card works, you can pay with any crypto you have but at the moment of you buying something it exchanges it to usdc to do the txn. This should be the same I dont see the need of having the USDC before wanting to buy anything

if that's the case why don't they market it as "pay with any crypto"? they are very specifically marketing "USDC payment"

I mean you know how these work, you can pay with any token but it probably will get auto converted to usdc at the execution

I do think though that users will want more cryptos to buy/sell stuff, so this will get sorted out over time
