The produce at normal (fka middle class) grocery stores goes bad much faster now Bought a box of organic strawberries yesterday, and a few were already covered with mold this morning Rarely happens with produce from upper class stores (eg. Whole Foods). Yet another way the growing class disparity is felt (but hidden)

Fresh berries are cost prohibitive for many families at any store, Whole Foods or other. The divide is not between those who buy them at WF vs other but those who buy them and those who do not Walmart often has the freshest produce because they have the most efficient supply chain
