Sometimes hikes don’t turn out well. It rained on and off (not predicted). We walked through clouds. I talked nearly non-stop about the adventures of Foxy and Bobby the bee (mostly ending up in alternative universes). Nearly at the end (13km into 18km hike w/ 1000m elevation), we decided to hitch a ride back down. We were wet, I was cold (wrong jacket) and kid#4 was exhausted. We couldn’t stop to eat as we’d be cooling down too much.
