An unexpected outcome of the recent vibe shift is that more people I know (and respect) are open about their "climate change" skepticism Mostly disagreement about causes & severity, but it's a strange position bc it's disconnected from observable reality Imo the cause is a red herring — more important to feel the volatility

When the feedback loops are long, it's harder to connect cause and effect. In our science museum they did a movie about Las Palmas in 2080. It should have been 2050 to have more effect. Movie was good, talking about school hours being moved to the evenings, underground sports complex, "green buildings" with plants and better climate control, and complete destruction of the tourism sector the island relies on. It could have done more to talk about the social unrest that comes when 70% of the economy disappears and places in "green buildings" are limited

True, but these are investors and founders I'm talking about -- not laypersons I'd expect them to have a greater ability to address long time horizon issues
