I've definitely been testing the boundaries of this with behavior that is clearly spammy by every measure (constant stream of the same emoji), I'm isolating it to people that I follow and that follow me, so its seen as appropriate engagement among friends. I'm very liberal with my likes, which seem to be treated as benign even at high volumes for people I do not follow (I'm only using Supercast to get around their limit, not a bot).

Yeah, 100%. I do get worried that people see what I'm doing and think they can do the same and get away with it, without realizing how much followers, social rank, engagement scores, history, etc. goes into how you are treated in WC. Its like we were talking about when people glance at our numbers without understanding just how many hours on site goes into it.

Yes. This is what’s hard to explain. You and I are friends. We’ve spent a lot of time in Audio spaces. If you reply emojis or lol to every single cast, the algorithm doesn’t care because we are mutual followers. 

But that’s hard to explain to new people so I’m trying to think of more concrete dos and don’ts.

I use some tools like HamCanon daily. But with  specific strategy.

Its going to be an interesting process finding out. Its only because of the Airstack's and Merkle team's openness to pulling you out of the dog house if you run afoul of their rules that I do this. Since they aren't willing (for damn good reasons) to share the boundaries of acceptable behavior, I didn't see the problem with testing to see where they may lie. I make sure never to use bots, which seem instantly disqualifying, so, so far everything seems fine. We will see.

do you think at some point they will ban or limit likes as well? you have always been so generous with your comments, likes & recasts but...i wonder if youll be punished for it OR if your farscore will keep you protected. interested to see what happens! 

i know i was def reprimanded for all my superrare posts ... probably repeated tips to artists or something...
