The biggest problem with the Warpcast algorithm is that is “spam” means ANY reply with ZERO engagement (no like or reply back). This is very nuanced and difficult to navigate. It is too easy to be labeled as spammy and most users will need to change their behavior when you engage with people who don’t follow you. The algorithm is being too harsh. How would a new user, who wants to look for interaction and engagement? In fact, in order to make myself known so that the channels wouldn't think I was a bot, that's what I had to do. This alienates new users, I know that SPAM is bad, but there are other ways to approach it, when you are new the intentions are few and null, if you are constant that changes, as in my case, but there are people that if they do not read them they leave immediately. Thanks for sharing this I had no idea?

I've definitely been testing the boundaries of this with behavior that is clearly spammy by every measure (constant stream of the same emoji), I'm isolating it to people that I follow and that follow me, so its seen as appropriate engagement among friends. I'm very liberal with my likes, which seem to be treated as benign even at high volumes for people I do not follow (I'm only using Supercast to get around their limit, not a bot).
