One of the things that I cannot stand and breaks my heart but also existentially destroys us if we really look into it is the industrial breeding of animals. I do not pretend to have an answer to this

eventually, artificial meat production will be too versatile and economical to disregard. imho, it's a moonshot worth funding as much as global water treatment. as far as industrial breeding for pets, I can only hope that more ethical animal shelters in the aftermath gain virality. overall, this part of nature is very barbaric and can only remain as much as we remain impotent engineers.

Lab grown meat I suspect. We look back and see the barbarism of past generations. Child labor, slavery. In the future I think and hope a bit that internal combustion, burning carbon, and eating animals will be seen the same.

Lab Grown meat just seems like an extension of industrial breeding. Might assuage folks’ conscience but I suspect it will be even less healthy for us than current industrial meat. To me it’s funny to hear of it as a moonshot. I think it’s inevitable. Just a question of when.

factory farming is the biggest atrocity perpetuated by the human kind. I think that when we look back on our current time, this will be one of the top issues we will be embarrassed about.

I was vegan for 2 years for this reason. The things we do to animals is actually so morally repugnant I can’t think about it for too long
