There's this story about Soichiro Honda, the founder of Honda about when he retired. The story goes something like this: When he got older, after he had developed Honda into this world-class international motor company built on the success of Honda, the Super Cub and cars, planes, everything. He stepped aside as chairman and CEO. One of the things that he immediately did, was this: he toured every Honda office, every Honda factory, and met with every single Honda employee and shook their hand and thanked them individually for everything that they had done and everything they would do. Two words: “thank you.”This approximately took 5 days a week for about 2 and a half years. And he did this tirelessly until he had met every employee at every plant and every office. I think about this sometimes because that's crazy and it's crazy beautiful. And the entire time — he was a kid about it. I respect this immensely, moved even
