I mean, why use USDC when you could use $DEGEN, get support from us, maybe even free tokens for your app, and build for the biggest token community on Farcaster? The take makes total sense, maybe just came off a bit direct, but feels pretty obvious to me.

To be fair, I think it’s great you can use any good token in Noice and if I were noice I‘d make noice the default. I don‘t think they‘d get more Adoption from making $degen the default except they do it for a promo week maybe.

$degen dominance isn‘t really there anymore. It was a great strategy for degen and Apps when Price was good, and all apps used it but that kinda stopped for multiple reasons such as no more grants, less value-add tipping activity, also due to turning into a founder-led tech project (l3, etc) and Not focusing on farcaster apps & socialfi at the time

Mini apps are new, before that, we backed tons of Frames. L3 was community-led and praised at launch. $DEGEN is still dominant on Farcaster, what other token is doing better or has lasted this long? These sound like excuses. My door’s always been open to founders. If some dumped their bags, that’s on them. I’m here to build a culture where Farcaster projects help each other.
