Why is further distribution when there is no sink good though. It theoretically only creates supply. (And generally to those most likely to be sellers)

Higher needs more attention, activity to grow its (value-add) community/network/supporters (which is half the product) to then deliver more & better content + products (incl token sinks or redistribution to new creators/builders)

Tips are a low-cost marketing strategy for a potential high reward.

Obv need to stand out from other shitcoins, and have more going for a project than just distributing the coins.

In other words: Token velocity is important in order to create new demand, to target new audiences. It’s not enough to have a good core group of creators & token holders when they don’t reach outsiders, generate new demand and positive feedback loops.
