15 years back, I got a guitar, inspired by my roommate who plays it well 

practiced a few weeks, but couldn’t keep it up

and now, I got a new guitar again. hoping this time would be different

if any of you got any tips/advice to a beginner please do share

i'd start from something you really want to do 

and figure out the building block behind that thing

so you'll have an exciting goal and a simpler path to get there

if you lmk what the first thing is i can help you with the second thing

i have always loved music

but never learned it or played any instrument for any meaningful amount of time

i know i will enjoy playing an instrument if can i learn to play it

goal isnt to study it, but just to have fun learning and playing

cool, that's the best foundation 

i meant like start w a song or style to narrow down your focus

i've been playing music for ~30 years, and i think everyone learns best following their own creative path
