Thought experiment: How would you feel if the users here who primarily have large followings on X were not really them, but synthetic AI clones of them? โ At first I felt a bit taken aback, feeling foolish and tbh a bit embarassed to be a human interacting with AI clones who pass the Turing test. But then I thought this is already happening in the present to a small degree and likely inevitable at scale in the future

There will be status attached to interacting with scarce resource โ the time and attention of a living person AI clones will inhabit our social spaces, at first legible to us as clones, but eventually not. Status will accrue to users who have access to real persons

Depends on the fidelity of AI? what's the difference if you can't tell the difference?
