when i was a kid, one of my parents read me a book. it was an orange book. it had 365 stories inside it. somehow, the story that i remember the most, was of a lumberjack that lost his axe on a river. it feel down from the bridge, as he was crossing by
somehow, i ended up telling the story to mila a few years ago. and she loved it. and started asking me to tell it again
it is not every day, but often she asks me to tell it to her
it’s nice to keep tweaking it or adding things or whatnots
today we were playing, and ended up bringing the story to life with legos and other toys. we even painted the river with watercolor
and the fairy that came from the ceiling was another very fun detail, that she was curious about (i created like a simple pulley system to put her higher or lower on the living room)
i would say that today was probably the most meaningful “play session” ive had with her in my life
just seeing this picture is actually incredible. the lumberjack is there, waiting for his axe
and the fairy is coming, noticing him and his effort. and she has 3 axes for him to choose from. one is plastic. the other one is metal. and a wooden one 7 replies
