It’s easy for others to misunderstand when they only see depression as visible sadness. But the emptiness, the disconnect from everything around you, is just as real and painful. It’s like being present but not fully alive. And the hardest part is trying to explain something that doesn’t always have words. Just know that what you’re feeling is valid, and you deserve care and compassion, even on the blank days.

people think depression means your sad and crying all the time. depression for me is being stuck in a twilight zone. i can't think , i don't respond to things , nothing is interesting , i just feel empty. not sad , just blank. i have a lot of days like this and they are hard .
