Quick Degen app update 👇 After many conversations with you, two things keep coming up: phone verification and rewards. I agree — we need a rewards system that feels fair and actually helps grow the app. This could mean rewarding you for bringing in others, variations of tip allowances, or even view-based rewards. We are still exploring what makes the most sense. Phone verification has to stay — it’s the only real way to keep rewards meaningful and avoid farming. The vault is too confusing, but simpler systems with clear limits could work better. I know you want to reward people you like and earn too — and we can get there. Big thanks to @yekim for grinding through this idea maze with me. Appreciate all of you—keep the feedback coming 🙏

love it! I think noice gives an interesting starting model for tipping without treasury-based allowances, enabling some to tip based on their engagement patterns as they see fit in $Degen. Then with the reddit style of upvoting, the system can reward the bangers in $Degen as well, however that ends up working. I also think there is a model where ‘channel mods’ for companies or protocols can “sponsor” campaigns in channels by buying an allowance to tip top users in $Degen. So many cool ways to slice it imo 🎩

I wanted to know your opinion about separating the Degen app from the main Farcaster app.

I think it will be a completely different experience than on here, where everything is about mini apps and constant engagement. It will be more content-focused and open up new planes for communities to engage with their audience(s), maybe create a breakthrough model for "web3" as it is today. Doesn't come without risks, but could be very interesting imo.

Yes, it’s definitely very risky. My concern is how to convince and motivate the people who are already active here to make the move to the Degen app.
