CB wallet is self custodial there’s nothing stopping you from importing your seed into it for your warplet

Unless you're using the new CB smart wallet which doesn't use a seed, just abstract signers instead of private keys.

I mean this next gen smart wallet that is still in beta kinda: https://keys.coinbase.com/ Not the same as the extension/native app yet. Old private key based wallets work the way you describe, but new smart wallets just have abstract signers (passkeys/webauthn, etc).

In the future (possible now since the last Ethereum upgrade but not default yet), rather than shuttling seeds between apps, we'll be assigning "ownership" of one smart wallet to another, so it can delegate control to it.
