Say I use the CB Wallet Farcaster client 

Is it the same “Warplet” too? Or will I have the same posts but a new wallet address for each new client I try

CB wallet is self custodial there’s nothing stopping you from importing your seed into it for your warplet

Don’t use your FC wallet keys in other wallets. 

If you get compromised, there is no way to rotate the wallet with our key storage model today. 

It’s ok to export your keys and put in a password manager, or to send funds out to another wallet.

except i think @v  and @linda explicitly cautioned against doing this because there's no way to switch it out if it gets compromised (i think they meant your warplet?)

Old private key based wallets work the way you describe, but new smart wallets just have abstract signers (passkeys/webauthn, etc).

Unless you're using the new CB smart wallet which doesn't use a seed, just abstract signers instead of private keys.

correct it doesn’t have access to your warplet’s key and generates its own keypair on first load — you can choose to connect it to any wallet you have the key for (my rainbow and cb wallet are the same wallet)

Got it. But I have to choose that. It doesn’t respect that inherently as a not new user to the protocol
