casting from coinbase wallet 

it’s zippy alright 

much much faster and slick than farcaster (perhaps there is lot more going on the farcaster app vs coinbase wallet)

I always wondered why fc doesn’t feel as zippy as X. coinbase wallet def feels on similar level as X in this aspect, perhaps even better - albeit probably with fewer features.

p sure a big part of this is fc is react native and cbw is native ios (i think)

@farcaster dev / dad / books, cooks, ski, code ~ there are many things of which a wise man might wish to be ignorant

i think they somewhat recently rewrote the whole app and moves to RN

probably more applicable at feature level as whole app anyway

crazy thing is they didn’t make a new app from scratch it’s all seamlessly in the old app + a feature flag enabled, but def agree with your other points

p sure it’s also RN

my guess is biggest factor is just artifact of being new eg if we started from scratch and wrote a new app supporting the small slice of most critical features would be much higher performance 

second is team, they probably have some great RN/mobile devs and an org that’s been building apps for over a decade now

that's really impressive!!!! (and to be clear i get why you both use RN, i am just a hater)
