Randomness likely has more order / intelligence than we can perceive. Ie. randomness is what we call patterns that we can't yet match The downside of letting refinement culture or A/B testing bozos select offspring is that the more ineffable qualities of nature (like wisdom and intuition) will be ceded from the human experience

I’ve gone more in depth with @fffflood on this but the A/B testification of everything gives you weird outcomes. Gives you travel booking experiences like booking dot com.. and I’d love for someone to tell me that that’s the pinnacle of travel booking experiences on the web

Yeah you get a composite frankenstein that's optimized at the edges for various properties but doesn't form a cohesive / beautiful whole That's the whole problem with refinement culture https://lindynewsletter.beehiiv.com/p/refinement-culture
